Santiago's Stationery Shop Valentines for 2026

Santiago's Stationery Shop Valentines for 2026

The thing is, my wife and I have never really celebrated Valentine’s day. We have a bunch of other romantic dates but we haven’t done much for the actual holiday. I never sent cards when I was at school, but I feel that this is a good year to start doing so, just a few. I want to send little love letters to some of my favorite stationery shops. If I'm near them, I make it a point to drop by those places, be a customer, and add more stationery to my personal collection. I’m sending lots of love and a little bit of envy to all of them.

Choosing Keeping (London, UK)

That name. It makes me a bit angry to see such a good name for a stationery shop. It’s evocative, pretty, and dignified. Their location in London is gold; in the Seven Dials area in London’s West End (Covent Garden). They offer their own lines of notebook and other items like watercolors (watercolours) stamps, fountain pens and wrapping papers. Their notebooks are ideal and a bit luxurious gifts for people you truly care about.

Yoseka Stationery (New York City, US)

I’ve admired and purchased from Yoseka for many years. Every time I’m in New York, I try to drop by. They don’t know me but I’m a bit star struck when I see the owners or staff members I recognize from their great Youtube channel. Several of my top fountain pens come from Yoseka. Their stationery testing bar inspired me to make a similar offer at the Outpost.

Present and Correct (London, UK)

Another London based shop, close to the British Museum and with an equally great name. Their space is tidy, their layout reminds you of a world where “knolling” is mandatory. It appeals to the designer genes in all of us. The store is a must visit if you are near the British Museum, their Instagram is a perfect way to guide your algorithm towards more pleasant things.

Mcnally Jackson / Goods for the Study (New York City, US)

During my most recent visit to NYC for the big stationery trade shows, I was happy to see McNally Jackson offering their new own line of paper goods. I Immediately moved to get some stock for The Outpost. We think you’ll love them. Their store displays benefit from their proximity to McNally Jackson’s book store. Colorful tables set with diverse stationery of similar colors. They have multiple stores in Manhattan and I recommend visiting the Rockefeller location and their Greenwich location as well.

There are so many other places and vendors I’d love to send valentines to. I’m always inspired by seeing the labor of so many people happy to bring great stationery across the world. I’ll make sure we keep talking about them.
